Eight paths. Each assumes something different about what you already know and what you are worried about.
Why sort this way
Topic based guides make you assemble the answer yourself. You read about addresses, then about keys, then about deposits, and somewhere in there you work out which parts apply to you. That works if you have time and nothing is going wrong. It works badly at the two moments people most need help, which are the very beginning and the middle of a problem.
Sorting by situation front loads the judgement instead. Each path below already decided what matters most for that reader, what can wait, and what to skip entirely. The trade is that you have to pick a door, and picking wrong costs you a click.
Which entrance
You have never used one of these and want to know what you are getting into.
You did this before, a while ago, and want to know what has changed.
You used a different platform and are moving across.
You cannot get into an account that you know exists.
Something did not arrive, or arrived wrong, and you want to know what is still possible.
You are doing this on behalf of somebody, or teaching them.
You are considering listing rather than buying.
You want to understand how this works without participating.
What every path has in common
Three things appear in all eight, because they are the parts that do not vary. Get an address from somewhere you can name. Verify on arrival rather than trusting where the address came from. Do not act quickly when somebody is trying to make you act quickly. Everything else on this site is detail hanging off those.
